“The flawed reflection (Imperfetto)” is an unscripted film that explores the lonely life of Michele, an outcast with a difficult past. Through scenes of delirium, monologues and visions, the film offers a portrait of contemporary society as seen through Michele’s ‘pure’ eyes. The camera frames Michele in situations of fantastic imagery and moments of confession, without direct interaction. The film challenges the perception between reality and fantasy, raising the question of whether Michele is an elf in a fantasy world or a man destined for self-destruction.
