Set in an atmosphere suspended between sleep and wakefulness, Moon tells the story of a boat inhabited by human and non-human creatures, floating on the watery surface that surrounds the island of Batteria and its submerged, abandoned houses—echoes of floods and the fragile balance of the Delta lands.
The journey unfolds as a slow, unsettling drift, illuminated by a looming, blood-red full moon. In a kind of dystopian and imaginative western, the moving images construct a layered narrative made up of both enigmatic and poetic fragments: the characters—people from the community encountered by the artist during her residency—sway in a milky atmosphere that seems to reflect a state of the soul, whose restlessness matches the magnetic pull of these restless, vulnerable, and haunting places.
